Schuyler Blanchard

Schuyler Blanchard is a sculptor in Taos New Mexico.  He graduated with his MFA at the New York Academy of Fine Art and is currently the assistant Professor and head of Sculpture program at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe.

Blanchard’s work invites speculation on the reverence we afford the Earth's intricate history. Drawing inspiration from diverse visual influences in art and the constructed environment he prompts contemplation on our evolving relationship with nature.

Schuyler has displayed nationally as well as abroad, with recent exhibitions in New Mexico, Texas and New York. The majority of his work is within private collections or inconspicuously present in our built environment.
